Happy New Year! I don't have anything officially going on right now, but there are plans in the works. Let me tell you about them!
I have personal project coming up. My little girl got an adorable, personalized book case for Christmas. It's white with pink, green, and purple accents and little dragon flies and pastel lady bugs! I've decided to make her a matching night stand. I found the night stand for a great deal and am going to finish it to match. I'm looking forward to practicing some new faux finishing skills - I'm thinking a lilac fabric look for the front on the drawers! But I have a lot going on inside my house (DIY home renovations) so it may take me a while to get to it, but it will happen!
There is a child's room in the works. We've been discussing the ideas of cowboys, air planes, and/or the great out doors! We are for sure going to do the ceiling to look like the sky with blues and purples - we're even thinking constellations that glow in the dark! We are going to wait to decide on a motif until she finds out whether she is expecting a little boy or little girl. The new addition will be sharing a room with his/her big brother. (If we have a little girl on the way, we want to make the room more gender neutral, naturally!)
There's also the possibility of a kitchen. We've been discussing this one for a while. There are talks of red flowers and a faux tile back splash. We have to wait a while to see if there are going to be some renovations done, but I'm really looking forward to doing some work in a kitchen!
